Md. Mizanur Rahaman, UNO & Member Secretary, Upazila Legal Aid Committee, Kathalia, Jhalokathi 01705-411026 Said That- A few legal aid clients go to Judge court Jhalkiathi district. Because Judge court Jhalkiathi is a long distance from Kathalia & transportation. That’s why poor people cannot an ability to receive legal aid services from DLAO. I think family disputes and land disputes can be solved locally if the village court and union legal aid committee work actively. Today's discussion issue is public hearings, upcoming bi-monthly meetings, and quarterly reports. We will arrange a public hearing at the Awrabunai union. The PPJ project has helped to form Upazila Legal Committees & oriented them. They assisted to organize five by-month meetings including today’s meeting as per their project target. We will organize the next bi-month meeting together with the monthly meeting of the law-and-order committee of Upazila Parishad. He also said a quarterly report will send DALO office in due time.
