Public hearings on Legal Aid Issue:
The objective of the event was to improve the understanding among the government, police makers, local leaders, and the relevant institution’s members. Through the question-and-answer session of the event community, people will get free legal advice on various issues like land disputes, family disputes, financial disputes, etc. It will help them solve their problem. This event will help to implement the lobby and advocacy program and the attitude of all relevant people will change in a positive way.
Facilitation and monitoring bi-Month Meetings of UZLAC:
Md. Mizanur Rahman, UPazila Nirbhai Office, Kathalia Upazila, Jhalokathi, 01705411026, Said that-Members of the Upazila Legal Aid Committee must participate in every activity at the field level. Success will come when people's involvement increases. Common people go come to Upazila and Union Perished for seeking legal services. Legal aid clients cannot go to District Legal Aid office due to finances and distance. So, we have to try to solve their problems. A public hearing should be organized in Kathalia Upazila Parishad. PPJ should take this initiative. We will arrange a bi-Month meeting in due time.

Every citizen of our union has the right to get legal aid services and legal counseling from DLAO. Now the Judges take participate in union-level public hearings. So that village people get a chance to meet with judges directly and get free legal aid services. It is a new idea. We, the union parish trying to disseminate information about LAS among the mass people. We will keep continuing the activity.
