Ahmed Hossain (Chairmen, Balia Union Parishad under Dhamrai Upazila, Dhaka) said that, “the Government of Bangladesh has set up Legal Aid offices in every district to provide legal aid to the helpless poor, especially those who cannot take legal services due to lack of money, so that the legal aid bi-monthly meeting is very important for us to provide information those who come to us to get legal aid service in the Union Parishad. Since the outbreak of the corona is going on now, so i would say that you bring more meetings arranged with us from village to village and follow the Health and hygiene rules, you tell people more about this issue, then people will benefit if they know it”
Shefaly (Housewife) west lakirchor, Ruhitpur Union under Keraniganj Upazila said that “I came to this meeting today and learned about the issue and many women are not aware about this issue so, people can know more about this law through the more meeting”
Mr, Md. H.M Salauddin Monju (UNO, Nawabganj Upazila) said that “Upazila Parishad, Union Parishad, Mahila Parishad and in the police station people are telling about their problems, and the responsible persons there listen to their problems and try to solve them, if they cannot solve their problems, clients are referred to the Legal Aid Office. Since the problems of the corona pandemic are now widespread, you will meet the Chairman of the Upazila Parishad and Women’s Affairs officer after 15 days. You will give them a direction or give them a Legal Aid helpline number 16430. When the Legal Aid office opens, you will assist them to take support from the Legal Aid office.
