UPLAC Orientation Date 27/3/22: Md. Shafiqul Islam Upazila Nirbahi Melandah said that the cooperation of ICT should be taken for the campaign. I will arrange posters, leaflets and pocket cards online for mass promotion. I will also upload leaflets and posters on Facebook myself. He urged all to campaign in this regard.
Meeting with panel Lawyer’s date 29/3/2022: Mr. Md. Zulfiqar Ali Khan, District and Sessions Judge and Chairman District Legal Aid Committee, Jamalpur said, “Our work is service oriented, we serve the helpless poor people, it cannot be evaluated with money. We have a complaint box set up outside the District Legal Aid Office, which will take action if there is an application against the bad man who wants to obstruct the work of Legal Aid and transact money. If there are any complaints, request everyone to complain in that box.
Meeting with Clients date 30/3/2022: Mr. Hamida Akhter, the client, said that he could not pay the lawyer so he did not speak for me with the money from the other party. He is a legal aid panel lawyer.
Meeting with court staff date 31/3/2022: Md. Nazrul Islam Bench Assistant Joint District Judge, Jamalpur said the panel of legal aid cases is not supervised by lawyers. Witnesses do not appear on the day of witness in the case. Panel lawyers are not present on the day of appearance. They want documents at a time when other cases are being processed; they are not waiting to be told to wait.
