UPLAC Bi-monthly Meeting: The monthly meeting of Kushura Union Parishad was held on the date 14.03.2022 Mr. Md. Nuruzzaman, freedom fighter and the chairman of Kushura Union under Dhamrai Upazila and he has been sworn in as the new chairman said that the president of the Union Legal Aid Committee said he had no correct idea beforehand how the government provided free legal aid. The government is providing free legal aid for the development of the lives of poor, miserable orphans and destitute people. This is certainly commendable. He told all those present at the attendance meeting that all legal aid candidates would come to the union council for legal aid assistant and we would try to provide them with legal services. If legal assistance from the Union Parishad is not possible, we will try to provide services through the project at the District Legal Aid Office.
Courtyard meeting: At the courtyard meeting held on the date 16.03.2022 Ms. Mariam Akter is 30 years old and father name Abdur Rahman Kulla Union under Dhamrai Upazila said that she got married seven years ago and has a 5-year-old son, at the time of marriage, her husband was given tk 250,000 and my father gave me furniture. Two years ago, my husband remarried to a woman from a nearby union, he doesn’t pay me and my son for maintenance and he doesn’t keep in touch with us. I explained this to the local people's representatives and I explained it to my family but they could not find a solution. I came to this courtyard meeting today and learned about government free legal aid. I want your help in getting legal aid services through the District Legal Aid Office.
