Annual Children Picnic 2015

The project team of CSPB Dhaka arranged an annual children picnic on 11 December 2015 on Friday at the Rover Scout, Gazipur. After several meetings and discussions with the children and local community of the project decided to select the mentioned venue and date for the annual children picnic 2015.

Finally we got written permission from the picnic venue authority and also double daker busses. Really it was tremendous event that the project team of CSPB Dhaka arranged the children picnic, it was local community engagement and full participation. The most amazing issue is that the cost for the children picnic contributed local community people and partial cost from the project. Also community people contributed cash and different type of kind i.e. rice, masla, puls, bread, orange, meat, chicken and sound systems etc.

It should be noted that the picnic event rent was fully free of cost by the Rover Scout, Gazipur authority and 6 double daker busses rent with 50% discount. However, the project team tried to reach local elites or government officials those who are directly involve with the project.

However, all the component of the project of CSPB Dhaka such as 2 Open Air Street Schools (OASSs), 10 Child friend Space (CFSs), 2 Drop In Centre (DICs both boys & girls and Emergency Night Shelter Home (ENS) children and local community people were participated in the picnic.

A total of 640 participants such as 510 (230girls+280boys) children, 40 community people, 65 staffs and AB-HQ personnel participated in the children picnic event. Beside this a total of 25 service staffs (bus, baburchi, decorator and sound systems) are also attend in the picnic event. All the children and participants were helpful in the mega event.
