Our experience of working with street and working children has taught us that they do not have the habit of saving for their future. They end up spending whatever the have earned by the end of the day. They spend their money on food, cloth, films etc. It is because they do not have facilities for saving. If they keep money with them, it is taken away forcefully by others. Some of the children deposit money with their employers or known persons but when the children want to take back the money, they are either cheated or exploited of their money. So children feel that it is better to spend the money by the end of the day rather than it being taken away by somebody.
